Lets Get Lost in The Great Outdoors

Image
Sun peeks it's head over a mountain crest as the morning air cools my hands clasped around a warm cup of coffee.  I hear the Mournful, rhythmic coo of a mourning dove, perched on a large tree limb above Mis Harriet, our RV.  The moist ground beckons me to explore as it slopes up into the dense pine forrest where no telephone wires or traffic noises distort my blissful morning.   The the warmth of sun reaches out which I bathe in for another moment, until my cup holds no more.  Behind me, through the large window of the RV, I see my partner pouring her first cup as she motions, asking if I'd like a refill. I raise my cup and eyebrows with a smile. When you live most of your days in a city, you often forget how much the beautiful and tranquility of nature rejuvenates the body and spirit.  Rather than being inundated with laundry, dishes, mail, and screens, my mind wonders toward a hammock, my whittling knife, and in the direction of nature's voice, calling me to unwind.  Free...

Silver Lining part 2 - Digital Nomads

It's not where you work, it's where you are working! Yet another silver lining story.  7:30 am every weekday morning I login and join my team on a video call. The new normal. Silver Lining part 1 - Happy Anniversary

Could COVID-19 have a silver lining?   We found love one year ago as the rest of the world began to socially distance itself. Covid sort of slammed the door on "in person" dating, which gave an adrenaline boost to online dating platforms which is where we began. Neither of us expected to find such a connection. After a couple of weeks of texting, talking, laughter and open and honest communication, we decided to meet for a socially distanced walk. Fast forward exactly 1 year, and here we are venturing down Interstate 35 in our new RV we've named Harriet.  Staying home when you're in a home on wheels offers a whole new freedom and adventurous lifestyle. Pair that with a lovely travel partner, and yes, everything has a silver lining.  ❤️ Happy Anniversary love  ❤️ Ananda Bates
